Seeking Native American History and Wisdom I want to meet Native Americans and am looking for someone(s) I can write and correspond with and talk to. I have been fascinated by all things Native American all my life. My 5th great grandparents were Cherokee (Eastern Band with connections to Chief Vann's family in Valdosta, GA). I go to pow wow's whenever I can. I like Indian Arts, Crafts, Jewelry, History, Culture and am interested in herbal medicines, traditions and spirituality - to name a few. I espeically like turquoise jewelery. I've been in all of the US states except for four. I traveled extensively throughout the southwest and visited Pine Ridge and the Navajo Reservations. I surf the net "studying" the many Native American sites. I realize that not all info is accurate, so I would like someone who could answer questions for me as I travel this path of knowledge. I have several books on Native Americans that I plan to read by the end of the summer. My hobbies are genealogy, photography, reading, writing, travel, meeting people, biking, walking, swimming, working out, pow wow's, music, dance and gardening. I am originally from North Carolina and have been in Michigan for 45 years. I'm interested in a traditional Native American man who is willing to discuss things my inquiring mind wants to know and one who likes to talk. I live in the suburbs, but I'm country at heart. I've had enough of the tar and cement. I like wide open spaces and warm friendly faces. I'd like to have some Native American friends.
