The discovery of my adoption and being part Native American has been wonderful for me. I have always been so in touch with Native ways and customs. My father never wanted me to know my background. My mother took me to a neighbor who taught me of the Native people and their ways. When my mother passed I was 14 yrs old. My father has always denied the adoption and the Native history. I was finally told very little by my half-brother who knew of my origin. I long to learn more of my heritage. I thought this site would be a great way for me to do that. I have many Native friends now and would like to expand on them.
