Native Americans teachings make the most sense. I have Shawnee ancestors on my paternal side, but have no supporting facts about them. I have always been drawn to Native American spirituality, culture, and wisdom. I have a deep respect for the earth and all living things (plants, animals and people). I derive comfort from native teachings, and want to learn more. I would like to attend a sweat lodge ceremony sometime. I live with my 15-year old Cat, Jules. I'm Spiritual but not religious,politically liberal, an occasional drinker, and even though I myself have NEVER smoked, I have lung damage, so can NOT be around smokers. I have one grown daughter and one grandson in North Carolina. In January, 2008, I retired from full-time work, but write as a hobby. Other hobbies include humor and comedy, reading, history, geography, genealogy. I have a Monty-Python type sense of humor. I am very passionate about social justice for all people. My Native American Heroes include Cochise, Geronimo, Black Elk, Tecumseh, Chief Seattle, Chief Joseph,Leonard Peltier, Dennis Banks, John Trudell and others.
I want a long-term relationship where I can connect on all levels--mental, emotional, and spiritual as well as physical.
I'm NOT seeking a Chippendale type. A man's height, weight, body type, ethnic background, hair, color of eyes, income and/or occupation, Do NOT MATTER TO ME, I am more interested in character, attitude, and spirit.
I prefer my companion be spiritual, but not religious, social drinker, either has no children, or children are grown,
and he does not want more children now. Any potential mate MUST be a NON-smoker! He should be a reader, Prefer he be liberal, or at the very least, moderate in politics, and shares my humanitarian and environmental concerns. I prefer the level of education to be a minimum of High School Graduate, or at least a GED. The more diverse interests he has, the more attractive I will perceive him to be. I'm most comfortable with musicians, artists and writers.
