My ancestors were brought to Oklahoma on the trail of tears from North Carolina. I am looking for the ancestor of the man my great grandmother left behind. I think he would be my soulmate and he would complete the circle of love that was started between our families decades ago. This Tsalagi man was favored by a wealthy white woman so he was allowed to stay in North Carolina if he married into a white family. He saw it as an opportunity to bring back his tribe at a later date so he made a vow to find her and bring her back somehow but he didn't know that she was pregnant and later she died in childbirth with his child.
