All of my mother`s people are Native. My grandfather always said we were Cherokee. But I have found the Cherokee people to be very closed and unaccepting. You know a Native American is the only minority that has to prove it. I think that is the whit man`s way that has krept into our native heads. The Pourch Creeks were willing to take us in when the Cherokee would not. I think that we are too devides as a people and that is why the government pays us so little head.
