I'm a 53 yr old "Two Spirits" woman who lives in WA state. Taken away by the state of WA when I was 5 years old, I was reunited with my biological family and learned that my grandmother was Creek Indian. For many years I look for answers about my heritage. I have been to Oklahoma and searched the Dawes Rolls to no avail and am under the impression that I might belong to the Poarch Creek Band in Atmore, Alabama, which is where my grandmother lived. I went to Atmore, but had no 'papers' of proof, which might be impossible to get, since I was adopted by a white family and my family refuses to say much. I hope to find friends who are Creek and can help me know my history. I would also enjoy talking to others here and make some online friends.
