Disastergirl, 55

I'm a single, 40 yr old German/Native American gal who comes from a large family (5 sisters, 2 brothers = 14 nieces/nephews). I work in banking and volunteer for the Red Cross. My hobbies--when I have time to get to them--are reading, painting/drawing, movies, walking with my Husky named Mya and spending quality time with family and friends. I live a very quiet life, but I punctuate it with a lot of laughter (ok, some call it cackling and snorting). I am nowhere near perfect, but I strive to be a good person and do good things--always looking to improve myself. I don't like drama or confrontation, but I will discuss problems with the hope of resolving them quickly. Some of the small pleasures in life that I enjoy are nature, making my home warm and cozy, sleeping in on a weekend, massages, comfort food on a cold day, feeling connected to someone/sharing a moment together and making others happy.

I am hungry to meet a man who's confident in who he is and knows what he wants--wrapped in a kind, considerate, affectionate package. Men who are funny and can laugh at themselves are very attractive to me. I'm a very capable person but I want to know I have someone in my life to help or lean on when needed--as I would for him. This may be silly, but I want "movie" love... but in a realistic way. I want a man to look at me like I'm what makes his heart beat.
