Без труда́ не вы́тащишь и ры́бку из пруда́. I actually don't know why the hell I wrote what I wrote before.

I am Russian. Born in Kiev, Ukraine (which was still part of the Soviet Union). However I was raised on the Greek side of Cyprus before coming to America at nine years of age. My father always said that there is no such thing as Russian or Ukrainian but that we are all soviet people. I like the concept of culture and I highly enjoy finding out about the cultures that interest me in a particular moment whether it is my own or not.

I am not at rest and I am searching for something.

Maybe I found a piece of it in reading Black Elk Speaks, or maybe I found a piece in reading Stalingrad. Perhaps I found it in Aikido, my martial art of choice. But I haven't found the whole.

I have a deep desire to love all humans, even the ones I dislike and I gladly give my affection to anybody who would accept it. This has brought me some hardships.

Basically I want to connect (who doesn't?). I have failed in finding that soul as of now but I am willing to look where I need to and if it means making some unexpected acquaintances and friends on the way: even better.
