Country gal senior looking for my forever partner .

I am 1/6 Ojibwe ,First People On my fathers side my grandmother was at least half Native but sense their marriage was documented in Canadian records as a metis marriage it is possible that my grandfather also had Native blood and there is more Native blood lines in my fathers family.
I have found the records for my grandmother but I have not looked for records for my grandfather yet but I do know he was part French Canadian .
I am Portuguese on my mothers side but I relate more to the Native in me ,my connection to the earth has always been strong sense childhood .
Actually I feel a bit lost between two worlds because I am not identified as Native nor am I a tribe member . In truth I have not tried to be officially documented as a Native even though I know I have the quantum blood required .Maybe I should get this done if only so I can go between the US and Canada freely and maybe find my grandmother's summer cottage on the lake that we used to go to when I was a child .
