This is not a joke post..I am dead serious.
I have seen many deadly things on my job but what I find to be the most LETHAL when it strikes is not drunk driving (I am talking lethal here, and for some reason drunks walk away from thier accidents a lot, but the people they hit DON'T), or violence, or overdose, it is without a doubt....FOG. When it is snowing, or ice rain conditions, ect..people are usually fairly careful thinking it kind of dangerous..when they have an accident..it usually just requires us to get a refusal of transport signed. But this fog has been the cause of some of the most devastating accidents I have seen. People think 'a little foggy out' and they dont slow that much..take it pretty lightly and next thing you know you are wedged under a semi..90% dead. Or your kid you let out with just a 'be careful' is knocked across the highway. I am not trying to bring anyone down here..just a fact..people dont seem to be aware how deadly these accidents are when they happen, how common they are, and how dangerous it is when it is foggy outside.
love to all.

Thank you for the heads up!! We do forget how quickly we could be gone tomorrow or hurt an innocent person because of poor judgment..

`Hey! I'm so glad I came across this. I'm writing on this to bring it up to the top of this forum for others to see. I have a friend who is a long haul truck driver. He will agree with this wholeheartedly. And so do I. People, PLEASE remember to turn on your headlights when you encounter fog. Not so much so you can see through it, BUT so others can see your rearend! I came across an elderly guy in a white car in the fog. Thank goodness I was going slow. A family could have lost their Grandpa that day. (he wasn't wearing a seat belt either). Happy Holidays!!
