EMAILS FROM OUTSIDE THE USA

I live in the UK and the site won't allow me to contact anyone within the USA or Canada. I fully appreciate that the site wishes to deterr spammers but is there no way else around this? I cannot even reply to those friends who have taken the trouble and time to email me.

Would it be possible to email the members globally and tell them that they need to tick the box to allow emails from outside the USA?

I don't wish to cause annoyance, I just want to be able to make contact with friends. When someone emails me and I don't reply, they think I don't care and that I'm not interested in their friendship.

We are looking at how best to address the situation where a member in the US or in Canada sends an email message to a member outside those countries.

We expect to update the system to address this issue within the next week.

Please note that US and Canadian members already see a prominent note within the email area, letting them know that they will not receive email messages from other countries, unless they edit their 'approved' country list.

We will add a notice that that includes replies from other members as well.

Remember , many of us NDN's are in the past adopted , in UK , Holland , Ireland ,Germany etc,wich wasn't our choice, for us this place is a wonderfull opertunity to contact "our" people and meet friends , its sad we can't mail our own people or leave a comment ,i hope this site finds a solution , so we can (re)unite , i agree with the major spam problem thats going around and that this also has to be solved , and right now i could not think of another solution to handle that, i wish , please bare with us , many NDN's come here to search for friends and especialy those who are adopted are more as just lonely and see sites like this as an only way to contact our brothers and sisters ..
