Tell A National Geographic monent you witnessed..

I walked into my kitchen this afternoon. My two cats were taking refuge in the window (no screen) clearly absorbed in the commotion and screaming outside.
I stepped out the back door to witness what I believe was a small dark eagle (I know it wasn't a Red Tail Hawk) and a falcon in what I'm certain would have been a fight to the death. Falcon worked his way loose by my distraction. Fleed with superficial wounds I assume. The larger bird of prey then took flight. Circled and drifted away..
I've never seen this before. I won't forget the sound of them.. their feathers flapping.
