I started a FB page for Reservation Project Donations (It's not under that name) but I help other organizations as well, like the AIEC (Cleveland Ohio). If you guys have any projects/fundraisers going on please let me know and i can put them on my page. I already have Pine Ridge but I cant list everyone I find. I just sent a box of school supplies to the AIEC and i just finished a box for Pine Ridge that will go out by the end of the week.
Create a good habits, not a bad thoughts. Giving is addictive and if we can help then we should.

`Look under Spiritful Bliss, I'm not a organization or anything, just one tiny person trying to make a few differences. Thanks!

I just recently joined a nonprofit organization called Re-Member. Go to Re-Member.org for more information. It's dedicated to helping the folks on Pine Ridge Rez with the housing situation. I was up there in October and plan on returning. If anyone wants to ask me for details on my trip, just ask.

`Hi,
I too just recently joined a nonprofit organization called "Adopt a native elder program".
("joined" means that I have adopted an elder, I'm not part of it ...)
It helps people in north Arizona and the Program assists Elders and their families to maintain a traditional way of life.
Do you know it ?

`I think I have heard of it, but can't remember how. It sounds like a good program. The Elders are so important. Every time an elder dies, some part of the traditional way of life potentially dies also. It's a race against time.

`Hello,
Thanks for your response ^^ Quote:

Being aware of that is perhaps a part of the solution.
The tradition, dreams and legends must be handed down.
I have a look at the "Re-Member" page, it looks nice.
I will be thinking at it for 2013.
I'm not so good with my hands but perhaps I could help, if someone explain me how doing the job ...

`i have this urge to help native people have better living conditions, not apartments or the typical suburban house, but real sustainable housing...something that uses the land around them, and thought that cob homes would be a great alternative to the trailers and other shacks the govt offers native people... they can be built to be very attractive and efficient, and environment friendly...
whenever i build a house i want to build a cob home...its basically earthen bags, and adobe...can be built almost anywhere, and can be customized to the needs and tastes of the people living in them...and can even be made modern to some extent, with solar panels, a fireplace, running water, and other luxuries...or whatever one needs...
the question is, how do i even get started building a project like this? i was thinking kisckstarter...
or if i cant then would anyone be interested in sharing this idea with tribes looking for housing solutions that are better than what is often a sad fact on many reservations?
i dont mind if someone else would have better success implementing the idea, just sharing it, speaking out loud...

When we saw this message, we thought you were saying that our photo system was showing another member's photo in your profile area.
Instead, we see the 'secret photo' image when not logged in, which is the same image for all members who have their photos set to secret (regardless of the gender or ethnicity of the member).
Once we login, we don't see a 'white guy', we see an Avatar...so if you were just referring to the standard 'secret photo' image, sorry we don't have a different version for every gender and skin color (but we picked that image because we liked the 'secret/hidden' aspect of it).
Thanks,
.
