You say you "just" consider yourself an american, though your thread title says different.

I've never heard of anyone looking for friends to help them "feel like a native" heh. I'd a hope your mom would have instilled that in you. Her being "very" native, and also a "medicine woman." Though, using the term pagan kind of tells me why you often think of yourself as just an american.
