men are known by there actions not words. as a child i was raised to have respect not only for my elders but "all women" after all with out them we would not be here. i was also raised as a protector and provider of my community, known as the "mightyfew district" on the crow reserve. i am well respected both out of love and fear. nothing is more pleasing to me then to hear the children laughing and playing with out a care in the world because they know that they are loved and protected from the unpleasentness this world has. and nothing saddens me then to see children struggling to survive and having to make adult decisions, taking what they want because it was not provided for them.

`So very true! This is how I was raised also. I always tell me girls to repect themselves as females for who they are and where they are coming from; our elders. We are told to get up early in pre- dawn and pray to the holy deity's and be blessed with the richness in life. I tell my girls this all the time and we try to practice this, though sometimes it 's hard.
