so I sit here, its 3:15 am. tired, sort of....
I caught the scent of something comming in the window next to me so i followed it outside. The night covered me, silent, the stars quiet senitinals over me.
I moved away from the house,socks padding the crunch of gravel under them.standing out away from lights, no sound comes to me. no crickets, no windchimes,no dogs barking near or far. i stand in the cool night breeze
gaze up at the milky way, distant.... I walk out farther, not careing if there were scorpions out,stops and listens for the warning buzz of something worse. nothing..... i move farhter out into the desert. smell the rain that exists someplaces eles.
show me something... anything i think. i wait.... "I dare you" my mind whispers to the darkness of the night. I gaze back up to see the shooting star blaze in burning glory across the sky! make a wish the whisper tells me, so I close my eyes just as a second star falls, following the path of the first...
