I dont know... I lived in a very liberal city for years, and it was just a hard life for anyone wanting to live honestly, without drugs and crime and rampant homelessness. It thought of itself as a progressive city. A treatment center every square mile it seemed. A hoge podge of spiritual centers everywhere.. and a place where criminals were labeled with a disease or personality disorder for which a medication could solve. And where citizens stayed inside after dark, a lot of homes with bars on the windows, while the drug addicts and other predators ran the street. To take the kids to the park in the morning was done at our own risk..due to needles on the ground from the night before. The poor were treated as if they had a social disease, and families with children were thought of lowly cause after all, how dare people have children on this strained planet (apparently these people forget that they will be very old one day soon and wont want to let go on their own hold on life.) My exposure to a certain 'thought' was when I was court ordered into a lock down treatment center, which was suppose to be for 6 months, and it ended up being one year back in the early 1990's. They decided if we ended up there it was because we could not think well independently and needed our thinking re-wired I guess. A popular thing my room mate there and I used to joke was "are our brains washed properly yet?!" but it wasnt funny..if one didn't go along with thier idea of the event in your life, then you were labelled non compliant and would have to stay longer until you agreed. It was a game to learn to play, BUT I had so much to untangle after getting out that it took years. Now as I see this in a lot of ways of thought now, in books, t.v, where ever... Unity between people yes, but not at the loss of individuality..one should never have to sell out, or become absorped, who they are to another people or culture to have a voice. What is political correctness?? It is intimidation to take your voice if you do not agree with the agenda and description of reality as presented with the so called "popular" thought of the TIMES. Don't let this happen..
love to all...
