Ladies, we know you're known it for thousands of years, but now it's official. Big testicles equals tiny brains.

A recent study of bats has shown that shown that nature forces the males of a species to make a biological trade-off between brains and sperm.

Due to the high energy demands of both, males cannot generate large amounts of both.

The discovery of the link between testicle and brain size was made by scientists from Syracuse University in New York, who studied more than 300 species of bats.

Some female bat species are unusually promiscuous, so males evolved enormous testicles to compete with suitors - but at the expense of brain capacity.

In less promiscuous species, in which the female is guarded by a single partner, male bats had relatively large brains.

The research team, led by Dr Scott Pitnick, believe this phenomenon is explained by their "expensive tissue" hypothesis.

"Because relatively large brains are metabolically costly to develop and maintain, changes in brain size may be accompanied by compensatory changes in other expensive tissues," wrote Dr Pitnick in a scientific journal.

The researchers believe this theory would explain the brains/sperm trade-off found in bats.

But intelligent men should not despair over the size of their manhood. Science may think it has settled the argument about size mattering, but the debate about quality over quantity still rages on.

There is a debate always running between experts about that. After others studies some professor found that it was not the rivalry between men which made birth this phenomenon but the proximity of all these men together. It seems that men instinctively reduce their brain to find the place to welcome their new friends.
Another study seems to demonstrate that women suffer of this phenomenon too. Much more they are numerous, much more they are stupid. This stupidity having a strong power of attraction for men, the repercussions seems to be without end and the whole scientific community is extremly worry for the possible consequences .

`yes women suffer the phenomenon of stupidity falling for words. The man just has to say the "I LOVE YOU WORDS" and our common sense goes out the window..

I'm right with you Hugger with just this little "nuance". Sure everybody do like to ear such words "I LOVE YOU" but we all keep the capacity to feel if these words are only words or a vocal traduction of a reallity.

Many men use these words as a vocal key to say "please, spead your thighs", but how many women use the same words to say : tell me I'm the most beautiful, I'm the most perfect, I'm Venus".

Attitude say more than words in such domain I personally call love "the only generous égoïsm". In my point of view "I LOVE YOU" to be true must be translate by : "I need to be loved by you so I will do the necessary to keep your affection for me"
Nothing is free between human beings like nothing is free inside the kind of world they built.
Maybe the happiness is not the satisfaction of shared love but mostly the happiness of a depending wellness.

[/quote] you are absolutely right on that statement above! All men have to say is those three little words and the woman are on theirs backs..
I myself never fell for those lines for love is an action word and just saying that to me never made me want to throw my common sense out the window.
I must sit back and laugh at the silly women that fall for such words..

You're right but we don't speak exactly of the same thing. You refer to your identity of human being when I only speak about our state of "female".
We have countless of opportunities to proof to ourselves our value as human beings but we still fight with our ------ identity because we need a partner for that and it's not always simple.
