11/11/08, Veterans Day, please honor our military personnel even if you do not agree with the governments purpose. i wrote this 11/11/03 the day i went to DC to see the "Wall' & the names of my fallen Brothers In Arms. i had never visted the Wall before because i was afraid. but that day i was there, i felt the pain, anguish, & sorrow of my dear brothers. wishing that i could have taken their place. that is why i say, no one should see the things i have seen & the things i did. so i wrote this not for honor but for how things have not changed for many veterans, it still carries on. nihi ti'hooshniih honishlo (we sacrifice to exist)

“Anger In My Heart

Anger in my heart
When did it start

In 1969
It was my time

Once was
Still is

Vietnam became my
Day by day

When the wheels of war
Became part of my tour

Reduced to drinking my wine
To forget the dirty deed in my mind

Suffering for my part
As I stuff out anothers heart

Never ending nights
Waking from the fright

Stealing from my reality of thoughts
From the drugs I bought

My only time to depart
From the hell in my heart

See me
Feel me
Touch me

Who, what, when
When did it all begin
When will it all end

I did not run from the enemy
Or their guns

I only know it will begin one more time again
Because in my head it will never end

Once was
Still is

Never ending nights
Waking from the fright

2003
And Im still not free

And I'm still not free
To any degree

`I have many friends in the military and still more veteran friends. I think people get politics and military mixed up. If you are in the military, you have no choice but to go where you are sent, do as you are told and then..well whatever..basically I have seen that happen to our military over and over again.
Right now I have a friends daughter serving her third tour in the middle east..she has no children and when she left this time her husband wrote her and said he wanted a divorce.
These prices are too high to pay and our government never takes care of those they use....
My heart cries for any who have to endure this..it isn't right.
