`This brings to my thinking something..not THIS exact subject..but what is in my mind anyway about things I have encountered here. I was naive as to how things can actually get complicated between people on-line..I always thought of it as more a casual thing as at the end of the day we can shut off the computer and go back to our "real lives" is how I used to view it. I understand now that it is not what I thought. People here have histories sometimes..good and bad. And the opinions developed about a person by another can be like a sickly virus being spread.. but it takes two to agree to keep it alive. It's just gossip, which is nothing but dead ashes...brush it off and walk on. Those who don't, and choose to hold on to the ashes...be careful of..you will probably get burned.

*this has nothing to do with the above post except that THIS has been on my mind..I respect Huggers writing just in case any misunderstand.

`You are absolutely right about just gossip, but when someone goes from person to person to slander someone it is just not right, but at the same time you see that what they do and say here is what they do and say in the real world.I have no time to listen to a bunch of cackling hens tear down another person, it's not right and that person needs to look in the mirror and see the ugliness that is inside of them when they choose to trash another human being..But this is how it is always someone jealous of someone else and when they are they try to get others to think bad about you.I myself don't give a rats --- what you say and think about me for I am not listening!!!

you have the virus: anger; jealousy
the carrier: the one holding the anger
the host: the one who this is passed to in the form of gossip

now the host can dismiss it for the personal problem that it is and counteract that with Truth. Or feed into it..contempt prior to investigation continuing the spread of bad feelings.

I wouldn't ignore it if I was exposed to a disease..and I wont ignore the effects of gossip. I choose to have those in place who spread love and laughter in my life to nullify the effects.
I WILL NOT hold on to dead ashes! I will trample them underfoot, as it were, and keep walking forward.

`p/s: The above post is NOT directed in any way at Huggeroftrees! She is 100% entitled to her feelings about her experience....ALL I have written is my feelings based on my own experience with gossip that had similar damage as a disease in MY OWN life. No Ones Business and its ashes underfoot..just once in awhile some troublemaker rears their ugly head and I need to realize for ME that it is truly nothing PERSONAL and not my problem...ANY MORE.

I can only hope this helps someone else who may be dealing wih a similar "personality".

`Very well said Cami, it is sad that one person would create such lies to make their self look better.And to spread gossip about another is character assassination. I hope this puts an end to it, but in reality I guess it won't for you have to consider the source.. Also the people that repeat the gossip they hear is just as bad.To end gossip you just don't listen to it and you tell the other person you don't want to hear it!!It becomes gossip when you repeat it.
