Have you heard this before?? I'm part Cherokee Indian.....
As this pertains to me I have pictures of my great grandad which is my grandma's father he was clearly cherokee indian but i dont know if he registered himself as native american???

My question is do i get the right to call my self part native american??Do I have to be on the Dawes roles in order to designate my race as part cherokee or American Indian??
