Tannesay! i am sAbRinA. I am looking for some hot native guyz, preferably fullblooded. I am Cree but i have very strange blue eyez. I am also searching for native goth guyz (i have only found four so far!) I am 19 but have experienced 2000000 years of spirituality which possibly makes me wiser than most of my elders. I need to find a mate. All da natives here are ignorant and have either been converted black or white. I need to find some people I can have intelligent, deep conversations with. You use the word "Wise" to describe yourself and also use the word "ignorant" in reference to all the Natives here...Sorry reading that just made me laugh lol.

Unless you live heavily off the land you've also been converted by Euro-American culture yourself.


I really dislike references to blood quantum, anyone with a spiritual background would understand why, well and any educated person would understand why Blood Quantum is wrong. A "full blood" can only be an "Indian", since the word "Indians" was created just like "blood quantum" was created.

Blood quantum was heavily established in 1887 during the "Dawes Act" aka "general allotment act". This was to take any so called "extra land" that Natives had. The tribe can't sell land, so this act divided the land up and handed every tribal member their own equal portion of land, the excessland was claimed by the state. With so many private land owners there were numerous ways for the state to aquire that land, hence non-closed Reservations are heavily checkerboarded in areas.

People had to line up and sign for a piece of land to be given to them. Land was appropriated to the "head of family". Guess who the "head of family is for most Natives? (women). Men were Head of Family for European culture, Native women had to find a man to sign for them. Since the whole idea of land and blood quantum didn't make any sense to these Native women they didn't care what man they used to sign the paper they just wanted land for their family. Many times a White man found his way into signing that paper. Upon signing the paper he was a "full blooded Indian".

Non-Natives have been here for centuries before Blood Quantum was established, somewhere down the line the tree breaks, so in essence the word "full blood" is a falty word.

Blood quantum is genocide. If a so called "full blooded" Ojibwe had kids with a "full blooded" Lakota, then they would have to decide what Rez to be enrolled in. Whichever Rez they choose their kids are going to carry Tribal Cards that only show they are "half bloods" when both of their parents cards say "full blood".

When a Mexican moves to the U.S. and marries a U.S. citizen do those kids carry around a State I.D. thats says "1/2 American"?...

The only understandable way to refer to blood quantum is by reffering to a particular Tribe or Tribes that recognize each others blood. If your looking for a "full blood" then you should be doing it so that any children you may have can be enrolled in your Tribe, or a tribe that recognizes your tribe.

I like to blend spirituality with common sense. First off..if you are into the Goths..well guess what theat is European and not Native at all. The Goths actually were a people that roamed across Europe and traded heavily..their range was from the Norseman's country all the way to Itally..quite a distance!
Secondly, anytime one puts themselves above others in the manner you have it tells those of us that actually have been around you have a lot of growing up to do. A wise person never has to tell others they are wise..it shows in their words and actions.
Just thought you might want to know that.

`Very True November rain. I had a dear friend of mine that kept looking for love on the net. She would work all week long, then home of the puter..dating. She had many online romances and fell in love with people a lot..it was hard to watch and she never understood the fact that love finds you. The net is a good way to meet people and to learn about how others live. Used to before we had the net we either were totally unaware of other cultures and goings on and so..well this is a wonderful invention.
I personally am not looking for love at all..friendship, sure and to learn of course. If I did meet someone, fine..but to look..well after years of experience in real time life I have discovered that it just does not work. Personally it was actually a good learning experience..because I did find everything I did NOT want..and to me that is half the battle..knowing clearly what you don't want. I too..putting yourself above others is just not a cool thing to do. Nobody like a know it all.

`I guess some women just need a man to validate them as a woman..If you were meant to be with someone it will happen. My self I don't believe in these internet romances.People can be what ever they want behind that monitor and I would not go running across country to meet a man or would I want a stranger coming to my home for that matter..Love takes time and you can't fall in love in two weeks sight unseen. But then again this is only my humble opinion and if some people think they can find love this way more power too them..

I can agree to an extent. But..anything is possible..right? Truth be told I love this particular forum because most all I have encountered here and have been some of the neatest people. I think you are one of them.
Now, would I go running to meet someone..well maybe..if it felt right..but that would be true of a friendship as well. I do have a couple of long time internet buds that we talk on the phone as much as on the net and one of them I am trying to get down to see as soon as I am settled and can make the trip..but she is my friend and we have known each other for a couple of years and she probably knows more about me than most people in my life. It does work that way sometimes.
I don't discount anything because it is on the internet, but too..just let life and nature takes it's course.
