Redheads and bad luck

Does anybody know what tribe think, or thought in the past, that redheads are bad luck? I'm writing a story and that makes a great conflict.

As I said before:

`In european history "redheads" where also bad luck. In the middle ages "redheads" were often considered witches, and were more often arrested and found guilty of witchcraft than other women. So redheads found a violent death.

I guess this red hair mystery carried over into the modern world. Probably the white settlers brought this bad luck omen with them to the native tribes

`I was told by a genealogist who is Wampanoag and Narragansett descendant. She herself had red hair and blue eyes. She used to say that Viking warriors had red hair. They many non-Viking women from different tribes along the eastern coasts of England and Ireland. Many red hair children were products of incidents. There are more people with either blonde or brown hair. There is a very small number of people with red hair. According to one source, it is predicted that red hair may become extinct. This is an interesting thought. My paternal grandmother had coal black hair and her father had red hair. His great-grandfather Parker used to own a boat and traveled on different rivers in Alabama. His second wife was half Creek from Chocolocco River in Alabama. His mother's birth place was listed as Georgia. They were of mixed Creek and Scottish-Irish descent. They used to travel on the rivers before Indian lands were open to white settlers in 1870.
