"Mirrored Delusion"
In my mind
I was cruel and crippled
I regress back to a primal state of being
That is what boarding school and war did to my total demise
I flatlined from reality
As my mind succumb
To a delusional state
A persistent false psychotic belief
But I am trying very hard
To overcome this unreal belief
To distinguish between what is real
From what only seems to be real
I have been battling this mirage
For most of my life
Alone
But now
I have come to realize
I need help to restore my disordered senses
My illusory vision
This state of mind
It has kept me in a prison
Of lost dreams and hope
I am ready to be paroled
With a renewed desire
Accompanied by real expectations
Of something
On which hopes and dreams are centered
This is combat
To recapture my reality
Where final victory must be won
