to belong

Hi there,

I am new here. Looking through forums I came across this one. Cultural identity. That has been a sore point for me. I am not realy sure where I belong. My family is a mix of all sorts- Latvians, Russians, Mongolians, German , Sweedish and these are the one I know about. I guess I am white, but there it stops. I have a great intererest in Native American Culture as it seems to me it is loosing it self in a mix of these times. i dont say it is all bad, but it is so important to preserve the diverse world, languages. I guess I am a Latvian, as I was born there and feel that Latvians are sowly but surely disapearing. Many Latvians live across the word, we marry in to different cultures, our children do not speak the language. Does it sound familiar? Where do people like me belong?
