“Wounded Warriorâ€Â

My spirit is still on the battlefield
Early dawn people
Please carry my prayers
That Diyin’ may hear my tongue
Listen to my cries
Don’t let it fade away before I die
Don’t let my voice become an echo
That fades along the canyon walls
My wounds started very young
These wounds are too deep
So I carry no scars
The flesh of my emotions has been ripped apart
My soul of emotion bleeds continuously
I drag my soul into the desert sun
I can hear invisible souls long distance calls
The dying souls don’t discriminate
They only incriminate
My spirit is still on the battlefield
With years of fractured emotions
Will it ever heal
To survive to see another day
East
West
North
South
Where the wilds winds will blow
Through the forest
Through the canyons
Throughout the region
The wild winds will blow
My spirit is still on the battlefield
The heartbeat of eternity
Will it be my deliverance to oblivion
Sharp blades of emotions slice through my flesh
Feeling the wounds of guilt
Is the nature of my beast
My dreams won’t negotiate
Even with dreams of change
What did I dream
The battlefield still remains the same
My heart will capitulate
It will cease resisting
It cries in silent uproar
To be deceived and lied too once again
Where is my heaven
Or is my hell in a cage because of my part in the war
Running from my sacred ground
Never to be found
Or will I be re-arranged like a lunatic running into a wall
Will I see my spirit in the crossfire
Will my spirit still be on the battlefield
How much fun will it be committing suicide
Is my derelict mind still in command
The battlefield still remains the same
