I found this on Cooks.com, tried it, "wo0w!" And my grandkids love it too.
You can even use field corn cobs for this. I think it tastes better from them, but that's just my take..

12 cobs - broken into pieces; cooking pot w cover; water to cover; 1-1/2 - 2 C honey or sugar; 1 pkg Sure-Gel.

Bring the cobs & water to a simmer (cover the pot), simmer for 20 minutes. Measure 3 Cups of the water, add the sweetener & Sure-gel, bring to a boil, remove from heat, skim, put in jelly jars & seal w paraffin.
Tastes like honey no matter what you sweeten it with.
