Disturbing nightmares

There isn't a week that goes by that I do not have this nightmare. It is never the same, but the outcome is the same.

In each dream I am either pregnant or my child is already born. Some times the baby is male, other times it is a female. My baby has the most angelic face and the baby always seems to be glowing from their beauty.

But each time, the baby is always taken away from me. Whether it be right after birth, or me standing by a river with the baby in my hands. They are always snatched away and I am left powerless to get them back.

Last night was the worst. It was the longest dream I've had in awhile. In this one my child was toddler, and some family ped her. In my dream I followed them across the country just to get her back. Just when I was in reach of her, some one came up from behind me and hit me over the head. I woke up crying because it felt so real.

I never tell anyone about these dreams because it embarrasses me for some reason. So I thought I would vent it here, and I feel a little better now.

`Trying to understand a dream without any life context or a look at other dreams can be like trying to understand a weekly show from a single episode  not pointless, but quite often incomplete.Your dreams mean something even if it you can't for the life of you figure it out! Maybe you are too nice and are always taken advantage of. What ever it means I think only you can answer it, but it is in your everyday life. Write you dreams down and it will come to you.

`Thanks Kaskiyeh! They say if you wake up in the middle of the night because of your dream then you need to right it down immediately. I tried that, but once I turned the light on at 3 in the morning, I felt like a vampire being burned by the sun :)

`Oh, I get those dreams that are so real they wake you. Man I miss my dream journal. I think it's at my ex BF's house :p I had a LOT of duzy's in that thing for sure.

I know what you mean about turning on the light, to write them down. But it's well worth it. I definitely remember those nights when I had to go into the cold bathroom and sit on the floor to keep from waking my THEN boyfriend. Man I wish I could get that journal back

If you can recall your dream, maybe set up an account on livejournal. That's what I use to journal my dreams anymore. Problem is, trying to remember them once you've actually slept and finally do wake up. Sometimes, the good ones come back to ya though, and also the bad ones.

My mother and sister are good at deciphering dreams out - scarily good O_o Usually a child represents hope so possibly there is something in your life, a big dream / goal that will almost be in your grasp before it's snatched away from you / crushed. I don't know whether your life has been a series of having one dream crushed after another because if it's like that, then this just might be your subconscious playing on your fears. Dreams don't necessarily represent truth/what could possibly be in a metaphorical sense and they can always change.

`I usually have nightmares about tornados. But, I worship Oya, she is an African goddess of storms. I just assume she is just checkin in on me. But, I don't really know for sure.

`perhaps the tornado signifies a conflicting/unsettling relationship you have with someone ?

`That's what I've been told, but there are times when I'm not in relationship that I have the tornado dreams. That's why I figured Oya is just making sure I don't forget about her.

`Maybe it has to do with other unsettling issues. Not everything revolves around men though they love to think that and assume positions of importance ^__*

`The birth of a baby relates to birth of a new situation. A child represents innocence and curiosity. A child can also represent immaturity, only you know whats going on in your life so it's hard for anyone to give you an answer. Tornados represent stress and being overwhelmed with to much at once.
