I never told you never to respond just respectfully asked you not to presume or assume anything about me. I even offered an invitation to get to know me but it seems you'd rather go on based on assumptions and not fact in your posts to me. Anyway I also never went behind your back, I may have written to her to vent, as I was really hurt, but I never asked her any questions. She offered up the info on you being Buddhist. We were both wrong. Though with everything that's been said on your part on the subject it sounded like you were. So my apologies for that. Anyway again you assume that I'm yet another person who reads books and claims to get my knowledge from them. Any reading I do is on the Native people themselves and is not heavily relied upon as anyone can put anything down. I do not read anything that claims to be or is marked as Native spirituality. Some of what I know is from my Native friends, some from what the spirits offered up in visions and dreams. I'm really bothered that I have repeated myself in this regard and yet you insist on saying I got my information from books. Why keep saying that if again and again I keep telling you point blank that I do not touch books that are of that subject. Likewise I stay far away from those who would sell me those ways. I am not trying to be anything I am not but I am trying to explain that what lives inside is not the same as what I am on the outside. If you had any knowedge of all the things I felt on the inside you wouldn't say those things. I maintain that I am trying to honor what lives in me. It would be a lie in my heart to go the way you keep insisting I go. Also I never ever thought that an elder was sitting on the sidelines waiting for me. What do you take me for? I only asked on this site as where I am in the country I feel there are no options, there are no people I can talk to short of those willing to sell me the information and I will not do that. It could be there are genuine people in my part of the world but I have yet to find them. I cannot help but feel that is a double standard what you say about not haveing to be Asian to follow those ways but haveing to be Native to follow any one of those ways. I understand that there are things that are not for outsiders and I do not ask to learn those. DO I feel a genuine calling towards following the healing ways? I do, but if those who made those decisions felt it wasn't for me I would not press them on it. I would ask why sure, but I would not force the issue. Anyway I am listening to him. he is offering guidence, and doesn't say I'm trying to be something I'm not, nor does he insinuate that I have a grand library of books devoted to Native spirituality. Do I have a lot of books? Enough to be my own library that's for sure LOL THey are on a number of subjects but I DO NOT have one that is on the subject of Native spirituality. Why can you not see that I just am trying to follow my heart and spirit in this? Why must you insist that I follow a way that does not live in me? Why do you choose ignorance of me over an invitation of getting to know me and understand where I come from? Forums and profiles do not make a person. THere is so much more to anyone on this site than their posts blogs or profiles. I will end here in regards to your response and if all you can offer in return is another response full of assumptions or presumptions about me then I have nothing further to say to you on this thread. I mean no disrespect but I have invited you to talk with me and get to know me. Yet you choose not to.

Thank you Clownway I will continue to be patient, and pray. I've been silent too. I do wish I could talk with someone about the things I see and feel sometimes though. I honestly want to understand that which has been shown to me. I appreciate greatly what you have to say. THank you for being respectful of my words.

Me personally ... I think just let people be what they want to be/wannabe WHATEVER! Cause we all WANNABE something/someone .. hopefully an improvement on who we were yesterday. There's worse things to wannabe than Native I reakon ... even if it is an impossible dream.
I'm just real glad horses doesn't have dreams of blowin people up! ... crashing jets into buildings! ... or stoning me to death cause I held hands with a man in private! ... (that'd have to hurt .. ouch!) like some cultures are born into. It's great to be able to leave what your born into also I think ... if that's what makes your heart sing.
I'm real lucky I'm happy who I am and where I'm at, and when I'm not, I know I'm free to choose ... cause nobody can tell us what to think or feel or dream, they can try, but it'll always be one place that's just our own free space.

I personally agree with "horses06". You don't have to be Asian to be Buddhist...makes sense!! And who am I to judge her? She may have some Native American in her family that she is not aware.
To close...kudos to you "horses06" for trying to find your way. I respect you for that. I also respect the fact that you do not try to add tension and drama to your posts just to keep yourself entertained at the expense of another's feelings.

`Aho... horses06... another teaching us natives have... is your dreams are sacred, your path in this world must be humble and walked alone, maybe it is best that you keep your own spiritual road to yourself... cause no matter what you do in this world, people are bond to agree... and some will disagree, and thats just the balence of powers and thoughts, and balance (no matter what side your on) is good, the trick is to remember that we are only human, we are all just 1 pityiful person in this world. And to assume that we have the power to give or permit someone from doing what they believe is right, is a form greed and frustation, and also to think that just because we have a calling to something that we deserve it and will take it, which also is a form of greed... we should always judge ourselfs first. And when you do that.. you will realize we, as an indivuials, have no right to make those calls. And thats why we have these ceremonies and these teachings.. they are there to make those calls for us.. cause no 1 person can tell us.
