`Especially when meeting in person for the first time, both partners need to communicate openly. If you are an emotionally healthy person, you can feel if someone understands, and maybe even agrees with what you are saying, as you speak your heart and mind together. In this way, you can feel the energy of their communication in their words and their tone of voice, whether it concerns affirmation, hope, fear or something else.

To accomplish all of this requires highly and healthily developed communication skills, which is only right and it makes sense because we were designed for this purpose, after all. We were not designed to be alone. But to be in a healthy situation requires us to be emotionally healthy first

Exactly! And one of the most important skills in all of this is listening.
As someone talks to you and you are already forming a response, even though that other person has not finished his or her message yet, this shows that you do not know how to actively listen.
When you know how to actively listen, this can help your relationship move along smoother, and difficulties will come to emotionally healthier resolution, as well. And most likely, that will result in increased love for one another, as well. All of this is even more crucial for those who are in wide age gap relationships.

Well, this site no longer serves me any purpose so I may soon be deactivating my account. It has been a pleasure having this discussion, as well as the other discussions, with you. I want you know that I appreciate your comments a lot. They reflect your high level of intelligence, emotionally, spiritually and mentally. And I learned some things from you, too! I enjoy this kind of conversation, as I enjoy learning from other's perspectives.
I especially like your comments concerning the mother who was pretending to be her own 20-something year old daughter, using her daughter's photos and videos and sending to them to a young man. And I especially find it interesting that as soon as you wrote those comments, someone who was participating in this discussion suddenly deactivated her account
As I said, this site no longer serves me any purpose, but I did enjoy it when for the time that I was here
