"Soul Mate" has many connotations, and it's true that Hollywood has skewed its true meaning. The reality is that we are ALL soul mates, despite our individuality that makes us different. When we do find that 'special someone,' it is usually a result of two souls having commonality and chemistry; in other words, common interests, and compatible pheromones!
But there's nothing wrong with looking for Mr. Right, however we define that to look or to be. Everyone has preferences. Live and let live.
