Reminds me of my High school years.
I failed History BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was otherwise a very good student. I talked with my parents and told them I will not go along with the lies. I will not learn to call those racist men who attempted genocide to Natives "Great Men of America". I wrote an essay of what really happened.
My parents had showed it to the school and told them that I did not have to participate in class but, I did have to be respectful in class and go to summer school that was culturally sensitive to my needs.
So,, That is how I made it through High School. In college they taught the same. I had to drop that class. Good thing it was not required for my major.
I am glad that my mother was strong. She taught me to stand up for my convictions while not bucking authority.
Sort of off topic. Sorry. Had to reminisce for a minute. LOL

actually it sounds right on topic..how insane is that??? I can believe that the teachers didn't want the ugly truthy to be told. That happense anytime a nation looks less that glittery to its citizens. I wish for once that history stuck to the record.

`i think anytime a topic like this makes people look inside theirselves and see how this (racism) has effected them or their people as a whole is a good and empowering thing.
