Wow! These stories are vicious LOL!! But like you said, they do go to show that when a man only focuses on the outward appearance of the woman, that he has no peace in himself. And as long as he stays this way, he will never find a REAL woman :)

`And then there are the White Owl stories. In Lakota culture, owls are known for wisdom, and they know things before they happen. But the white owls are more like warnings when something seriously bad is about to happen to you.

They want you to stop and turn around, and go home to think about your life. They want you to try to look at every aspect of your life to see if something is wrong or missing or needs tending. And they will do what they have to do to get you to turn around. And sometimes, the way they do this can be really scary.

Usually every Lakota family has a white owl story that happened to someone in their family, recently or in the past. I know of one story on the rez I am from (Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe).

This story involves a woman who lived alone in a house that was on a hill just outside of town, but not too far away. This was in the 1960s, and at that time there were not that many street lights, as this was a small town with a population of less than 500 people. All the streets were gravel roads, except for the main street downtown, where the stores were located.

On this night, this woman wanted to go into the town and get drunk at the local bar. There was no moonlight on this night, so she knew it was going to be difficult to see the ground. But she knew the way really good because she went to the bar on many nights. And there was a utility light outside her house so at least she would be able to see part of the way. And on this night she decided to take a flashlight just to make sure she did not fall over a rock or some small animal.

As she got halfway between her house and the town, she heard something walking behind her. And then suddenly the sound seemed to go in the air behind her and then above her. And before she knew it, there was something standing in the path in front of her. When she shined the flashlight on it, she saw that it was a white owl.

She was surprised but she was not scared. She knew about the white owl stories but did not believe them. So she tried to shoo it away but it just stood there screaming at her. For those of you that may not know, a white owl screams like a baby crying, and if you do not know this, its scream can really freak you out. But she knew its scream and was not scared.

So then she gathered some rocks and began to throw them at the white owl. But it just stood there screaming at her. As she got closer to it, it began to grow. And in a few seconds it was taller than her. And she said "GO AWAY!", and it said the same thing back to her and it was imitating her voice.

At this point she really got scared and turned around, and ran back towards her home as fast as she could. As she was running, she could hear it flying behind her and she started screaming, and it imitated her screams next. When she finally ran inside her home, it flew on top of the utility pole where the light was, and it just sat there waiting.

She had become a "believer" of the stories now and she started to pray. And then she burned some sage and smudged herself, and prayed throughout the night until it was dawn. Then she went outside and the owl was gone.

She decided to walk into town and sleep at her sister's home. When she arrived at her sister's place, her sister could tell something was wrong so she asked the woman what happened. After the woman related the events of the previous night, the sister told her that she better change from her drinking and whoring ways. The woman said nothing and fell asleep, but she kept waking up from dreaming of that white owl. But eventually she was able to get a lot of sleep.

That night, instead of going back to her home, the woman went to the bar to get drunk. That night she died in a car wreck.

Some people think that when you see a white owl in your path that it means something bad is going to happen to you. But that is not true. Rather, it is trying to warn you to change something in your life because it knows that if you do not change, you will die. That's how serious the situation is.

When you think about it, the white owl is really trying to save your life. However, the way it tries to get your attention can be really scary. But that is only because you are doing something life-threatening to your own life.

:)

`And then there are the Anun-Ite stories. Anun-Ite is the Double Faced woman. She has two faces beside each other. Her left face is incredibly beautiful and her right face is extremely hideous. And her body is intoxicatingly beautiful. She makes very beautiful clothes and is also an excellent cook.

In most Anun-Ite stories, she is wearing very beautiful clothes, and her hair is covered with a shawl. But the shawl is also covering her ugly face. And she travels around looking for men who may be wandering alone. When she finds such a man, she approaches him carefully. As soon as he sees her, her smile and beautiful face captivate him so much that he cannot do anything. And her voice enchants him so that he willingly does whatever she suggests.

Anun-Ite says to the man that she lives nearby and is cooking a meal, and that there is enough food for both of them. So she asks him to come with her and so that he can have a good meal and have a rest in her tipi before he continues with whatever task he was doing. And being enchanted by her physical beauty and her voice, he accepts her offer.

As they return to her tipi, Anun-Ite cooks a wonderful meal. It smells really good and tastes delicious. Then she tells him he can rest on her buffalo robe and he does. She begins to massage his body and then slowly she begins to take her clothes off. Then he allows her to take his clothes off, as well. She slowly lowers herself to sit on top of him, as he is anxiously anticipating having S-- with her. And just as he is about to penetrate her, she quickly takes off her shawl and shows him her ugly face.

The man screams because of Anun-Ite's ugly face and tries to escape, but she pushes the buffalo robe down very fast and hard. And then the man notices that the buffalo robe was covering a deep pit. And he falls into it and breaks many of his bones on the rocks at the bottom of the pit. And also at the bottom of the pit are many human bones of her previous victims. And when this man hit the bottom, some of those bones cut deep into parts of his own body.

Then Anun-Ite ugly face laughs hysterically for a really long time, and her laugh drives him insane, as he dies a slow death from his wounds. Such is the fate of emotionally unhealthy men who focus only on the physical beauty of women. An emotionally healthy man would not make eye contact, as a sign of respect. And regardless of her beauty, he will not focus on it. As she flirts with him, he will not react to it. If she continues to flirt with him, he will leave and continue his journey. And after he has left her presence, he will smudge himself with sage smoke.

Incidentally, when men dream of Anun-Ite, their mind goes through a change. And when they wake up, they are homosexual.

How is that for a Halloween scary movie theme!!! LOL!!

`I know I am always saying "WOW!" at these stories, but again "WWWWOOOOWWWW!"

The intense focus on s----lity alone really does lead to danger. Its sad because most people in this modern world are this way. And that affects the rest of society. The modern world really could use these stories!

I believe that s----lity can be a healthy expression, but only when there is also emotional healthiness and mental stability.

Without emotional healthiness, the focus on s----lity alone can lead also to mental disorders, as well as emotional disorders. And thats not cool.

I have to tell you why you love me very much? That would take all day to do because I am sure you have over a million reasons why you love me!

Or do you want me to tell you why I love you so much? If this is the question, that would take forever because my love for you has no end. But that is not a problem, ok?

It's true that I have a million reason to love you !
