In the Middle East, Muslim men can have 4 wives, concubines, and even black slaves imported from Sudan. Slavery is also legal in their religion Koran book. You people have no idea what life is like in the Middle East.
There are books in Noble and Barnes book stores that you can look up. Even Arab people quit Muslim Islam religion and spoke against it in their books. Many Arabs embrace the concept that men and women are equal and that freedom of speech is our right,etc. There is a book called "Islamization of Europe" and "Islamization
of America" the books talk about what life would be like if we sleep while Muslim radicals take over our country, and even replace our US constitution with their Islam ideology that supports wife beating, stoning, etc. They did that to Molucca islands back in 2003 and grabbed all the Asian Christian women from baby girls to age 75 and spread apart their legs and cut away their clitories with roots included. Muslim radical terorists had conquered them and gave them 2 choices: convert to Islam or die by the sword. If you look in the book of Koran, you will find a lot of violence in it. If I were you, I would reject it and stick to native american religion. I don't trust those filthy bearded Muslim radical terrorists.

`wow...i am curious WHERE in the Quran does it say that it condones wife beating or slavery? I own one and have read it through and i missed it. Nothing too entirely different in that regard (slavery, wife beating) than the Hebrew bible (Christian old testament does) i think. Whats too bad about Islam is that back in the day when it was written women if they got divorced (or were divorced rather) by thier husbands were not allowed to keep thier children or property..they were regarded as no value much but cattle. The Quran gave women the ability to not only obtain divorce, but also to keep the property they came into the marriage with as well as their children-especially if they were very young children. As with the middle east religions it seems an idea came about..but after time and some people with selfish agendas get ahold of it it barely resembles the original and this seems to be called "fundamentalism". In Israel...a country the United States supports in 'ideology' it is legal and practiced in the ulta orthodox sects stoning..even for the daughter just behaving in a insubordinate way, to this day. I have seen no more violence in the Quran at all as much as I have the Hebrew bible...at all. Yes, Barnes and Noble has a wonderful selection of books...history of religions and those texts of those religions are among them if people would like first hand info. for themselves. (Seems there was another group running around threatening people with 'convert or die'...hmmmm what were they called again?)

OH YES, we should be concerned. You see, Muslim radicals are determined to force the WHOLE globe to convert to their ideology. They did that to many countries including Indosenia. This had been going on for the last 1,500 years.
They did try to consquer the rest of Europe in the 1460's but they failed because a so-called Christian king in Romania who was known as Vlad the Impaler who had his army capture all the Muslim soldiers and impale them with silver swords and hang them on the crosses 50 miles wide.

You may have had heard about it on the TV program called History channel. The king sat and ate his meal among the filthy stench of the dying. It took them 3 days to die. The Muslim generals were traumatized by what they saw and turned around and went home to Turkey in defeat. They did not dare to try consquering Europe again for another 500 years.

Now they are back with islamization spreading very fast in France. The French purists are worried about losing their culture and way of life. President Sakozy and his govt want Muslim women to stop wearing a veil
in France. You know the quote" Do as the Romans do".

Anyway, in 2003, the Saudi radical fundamentalists consquered Molucca Islands recently back in 2003 and burned all the religion buildings and forced all island asian womenine up to undergo female genital mutilation from age 0 to age 75. Yes even 75 yrs old old asian women were pushed into the tents and their legs were pushed apart and Muslim asian women took the knives and cut their clitoris. Every year in April, all the little girls in Indonsenia lined up to have their dresses pulled up and have the midwives cut out their cliltoris on the tables in schools. THis is a Saudi-Yemeni Muslim custom that was forceded upon the non-Muslim Asian people. There are photos that show these girls.

What will you do if Muslim radicals walk up to you in Lakota country and force you to convert to their religion? What would you do? Would you run? From reading all of your posts, I know you are a strong woman and I know you would fight and make your stand. I can't believe how many Americans do not know about this deep stuff.

Yes, you are right that Israelites were a Middle Eastern tribe. They were members of 12 tribes. My mother is Spanish Jewish-Filipino (Igorot and Illoco), Italian, and Irish. My father is northern European (German and Irish, English, French, and Scotch-Irish-Creek). So I am a mixed mutt. My mother's nephew is Ogala Sioux, French, Polish, Spanish, Jewish, Filipino, Italian and Irish. His grandmother was from Pine Ridge, South Dakota who was direct descendant of Sitting Bull. They went fishing in the Badlands every year. Kaskiyeh's character reminds me of the Lakota women's character of strength.

There is a group of Arab people who quit Islam religion after they researched it carefully. They discovered a lot of Quran verses that they were not comfortable with. They posted their research results. Check out the website link. It also has video links to show Muslim radical men and women throwing stones at Muslim women who were accused of cheating on their husbands. In the video, you can see their faces bleeding. I want to warn you that it's very graphic. Do you have a strong heart to look at it?
Can you bear to watch it? You don't have to watch it alone but you can have your boyfriend or husband or whoever to hold your hand while you watch it? I bet it would make you appreciate America for being a free country and not take it for granted.
