The united states of america has not reached its position, as a great society. It has not been able to feed its poor, clothe its needy, nor be responsible to the elderly. It has not taken the time to care for all who are born within its boundaries. The united states of america has only done right by the middle income, the high income and those who profess their belief in materialism and dominance.
They protect with their laws, what is theirs and not what is just to all the people.
In direct contrast, in many a narrative written by pioneers, explorers and settlers, from the spanish, pilgrims on to the most recent period in history, are full of instances of wholesale hospitality toward strangers, sometimes at considerable costs to the hosts.
It is my understanding that a treaty is a convenient between two or more parties. The treaty puts responsibilities on all parties to the treaty. When one party breaks the treaty, then the materials involved in the agreement revert to the original owners. Treaties within our great nation involve land and resources, including water. So when a treaty is broken against any of us, our nations and confederacies, the land reverts back to us or to our relatives.

`So very true. The usa works to distract its inhabitants by directing attention to suffering countries but blatantly ignores and refuses to answer for its own inadacquacies. The fact that aid is pulled off of reservations because they have no jurisdiction there for example (red cross etc) but isnt it funny how they rush to places such as Haiti etc. And in all the great distraction, they dismantle the country and weaken it. People should depend on no more than what their own hands can provide, and do so together. Only THEN will we be a strong nation.

`any time there is a concentration of power over many more people than truly benefit from that power base, it becomes an abuse of power...so the idea that we are really a part of a nation called the united states has far outgrown its usefulness, it may have been valid back in the early days of the nation, but no longer really fits the needs of the people any more...

we must begin to think of ourselves in terms of local nations first, our communities immediately around us are our nations...no government can truly benefit us locally, but we can benefit each other in its absence...

truthfully, we dont need them or their money to survive and thrive, or even have advances in science and technology...but in order to learn how to better utilize our brains and resources, we have to learn how to do things that most people assume is the responsibility of a government...

strong people are better any day than a strong government...
