The Essence of Past Lives

Memories are the mental pictures of days gone by
Where they will exist forever and will never die
The images in our minds are like looking through glass
Where our thoughts seemed so real, from this life of the past
The feelings for someone, we try so hard to erase
But their essences is so strong, we still see their face
If you do not feel their presents in the air
It simply does not imply, that they are not near
The emptiness that still lingers, our life has on hold
As these spirits remain present to fill our aching soul
The essence of past lives are here destined to roam
The love ones of your past, will forever call home
And little by little as your memories gets vague
Only the feelings that you had will begin to fade
Though you may soon forget, they will always be near
Because deep down inside, you will always still care
