'Happy endings', i don't know- how the last chapter of this life unfolds
i haven't been told.
hasn't it been interesting? I guess some would say strange.
my big obstacle, most comforting guarantee
is this constant change.
The scenery is beautiful, how land rolls a thousand miles
turning to sand. I think of those i have touched
with this now aging hand.
But i don't dare look long in the mirror
she is still there, ya know
smiling behind dark eyes "they don't touch me here,
i do love you so."
then i look over to my children and give them a wink
"please don't grow up so fast,
it's all over in a blink."
girl..hasn't it been horrible-
oh man this is a blast!
I can't take it too seriously,
it only hurts when i laugh.
