`Society creates romance around the native american, whether man or woman. I can agree racial features of the exoticly rare probably heighten the romanticized notion towards native features. Any native can tell you that we can tell apart a mexican from a local indian based on appearance, so they can't include other indigenous people and say native's here aren't rare. The small proportion of native population with physical features is quite uncommon compared to the common black or white individual, thus making us rare and exotic in a sense.

Culture has it's basis in the passion associated with all that is native.

`There is nothing like a full blooded Native Man. That is the most sexiest thing. That long hair those facial features. sexy seductive eyes. Too bad they are not that many where I live and most claimed to be mixed when in reality they are not even real natives.

I really think it depends on the person but I do know what you mean. A lot of Native men have gorgeous/handsome/attractive/appealing (you choose) face structures. Its all come down to a persons preference.

BUT... lets be honest, we are on this site "nativeamericanpassions.com" because we have a interest in dating other natives for which ever reason it may be; looks, personality, etc... etc.. So i know some people are saying dont choose a person based on ethnicity but like i said we are on this site and there was something that caught our interest and we are favoring this one.

But Yes I will agree... when it comes to a native man.. most are just gorgeous lol

I don't wanna sound arogant, but I find it's mostly older women who find me attractive! Or women who have a man already! it may not be a cultural difference, but a difference altogether! Because I've only had one native girlfriend and she was alaskan(eskimo). but I've been with girls from other cultures.

`I find Native men sexy for quite a few reasons. Because even though I have lived but a short time on this planet I have quite a long dating life and I've spent almost the whole time trying to find the yin to my yang, not successful clearly. I recently decided to tool around some dating sites, look at some of the profiles and see if I should even try the whole online dating site thing. This is the only site I could find where I actually find most of the men attractive (most of them match my 'type') and I like what there profiles say. Most of these guys are laid back, down to earth, and like the outdoors. And if most of these profiles represent the majority of Native men then I'll tell you exactly why there sexy.
1)Tall, long dark hair and handsome.(need I say more?)
2) Nicely built
3) Good personalities (laid back, down to earth, outdoors, sort of family oriented, like to travel, protective, but okay with staying at home with there women)

And by the way, by tall I mean at least a few inches taller than me (I'm only 5'5").

You are aware these profiles DON'T represent the majority of native men, right? The majority like any other people aren't all going to fit into your image of native guys. I take it your long dating history doesn't include a lot of natives?

I hate to sound like I'm picking on you, itt's just you're words seem to be quite generalizing...

I don't mean to pick on you either Whiterose89(and all the things you listed are all positive, wonderful traits that some Native men do have), but I think it's very important to expand awareness on these things.....I have to agree with jmar here and I REALLY believe that you have the Hollywood movie stereotype of a Native man in your head, and generalizations such as these need to stop!

Most of my Native male friends have short hair, feel stuck on their rez having limited access to travel, and have deep issues underneath their laid back attitudes from being discriminated against their entire lives. They are varying degrees of short to tall, outdoorsy or "indoorsy", down to earth or arrogant, light or dark, handsome or fugly.....Some follow the red road, and some don't.......

We are all unique human beings, and to put all Native males into one category is insulting in my opinion! I'm sure you mean well, but I think it's important to educate oneself and not stereotype... I certainly hate it when I am generalized, stereotyped, and put into a box because of the color of my skin or culture.

Warning: you may not want to pay attention to any of the above because I am a blonde so I must be dumb!

Respect,

Nahkeeta

While I was trying to think of something typically-pervy of me to say about hooking me up with a guy then, I actually had an idea. I wonder if it'd be a good idea to get like a penpals paper/zine going in reservations so they can reach out to the outside world a little bit more? Idk but I come from a small town and I'm old enough to be from the time before the internet, and I met people through little zines that were advertised in metal magazines.

That would be awesome a Native American Reservation Penpal. I actually want to go to a reservation this summer since mines is so far away.

Yeah, someone should start a zine with pen pal ads in it, and some people should volunteer to make sure it gets distributed to reservations. I live really far away from any reservation too. (I'm in northern West Virginia.) But I meant that some people who have the money to should volunteer to print/send many copies to reservations. Although I think the articles & stuff should be written by people on reservations. Maybe you should pass along the idea to the people you know who live there. I've been homeless before and one thing we did a little bit of is write articles, because it makes people feel better to write about what's going on. And the pen pal ads could open them up to meeting people out here not on reservations.

We live in a society where the roles of men and women have changed dramatically....with metro-sexual men and suit powered women, it is almost as if roles of the genders have been switched.
I think the attraction to tribal males (Native American amongst them) comes down to a primordial attraction to the "alpha male". Most tribal societies have not lost or confused their gender roles. It takes (dare I say it) a "man's man" to bring out the ultimate feminine traits in any woman. Many women these days live in positions of non-traditional power, where they are expected to raise children on their own, provide shelter and food, and be the entire strength of a family unit. To be given the opportunity to surrender that power for the more feminine traits inherent in all women, is sometimes a very attractive thing. It is a little like touching base with natural instinct.
I personally have been married to two traditional tribal men (one Arab, one Indonesian islander). Both of these men wore long hair, and this is another issue I would like to bring up. If any pay attention to the stats on this site, it is always the long haired, clean shaven Native men that seem to top the popularity stakes. Why? Again I think it dates back to a primordial instinct (possibly even cave man days) where the dominant male wore long hair. If you look back to the photos of Native American males from even the late 1800's most of these men were hairless except for their heads...no chest, arm or facial hair. Of course with genetic interbreeding this has changed a lot, but not the natural instinct of women to attract to clean shaven, long-haired men.
Personally I think that deep down, most of us actually feel comfort and safety in traditional male/female roles. As current society progresses, and women are now usually expected to fill both the role of male and female, I believe that the opportunity to revert to the more feminine role (from an emotional viewpoint), is probably more pronounced in the female population. Hence the attraction to native American men. They are seen as more sexy than most other cultural groups, as they (in general) still project the traditional male/female roles as part of their culture and idealisms. Just look at how many women on site say "I want a REAL man!!"

xx kelly
