I am new to this site, hoping to meet a few new friends and maybe something more special .
My ancestor was Sioux, and have been trying to learn more about it the last 10 years.
Born on the wrong continent and lost in a place i should not be, with people that cannot understand my soul, spirituality and believes, far away from my people i am hoping this way at least be among my people some more.

Hello, Mr. Lupine.
Well here is something you need to know about the Buffalo-Men.
There are three clans of Sioux, the Lakota "Friends or Quakers", Dakota "Enemies", and Nakota "Whatevers".
This is a Lakota
The Sioux lived in Northern Nebraska, southern Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, northeastern Montana, Canada.
They are part of the Siouan group of Native Americans that had lived in the following lands.
Siouans are divided as the following:
1) Missouri River Siouan
I) Crows
B) Hidatsas
II) Mandan Siouan
A) Mandans
III) Mississippi Valley or Central Siouan
A) Dakotans
1) Sioux
a) Lakotas
b) Dakotas (Dakota, South and North)
c) Nakotas
2) Assiniboines
3) Stoneys
B) Chiwere-Winnebagos
1) Chiweres
a) Iowans (Iowa)
b) Otoes
c) Missourias (Missouri)
2) Winnebagos
C) Dhegihans
1) Omaha-Poncas
a) Omahas
b) Poncas
2) Kansa-Osages
a) Kansas (Kansas)
b) Osages
3) Quapaws
IV) Ohio Valley Siouan
A) Virginian Siouan
1) Tutelos
2) Saponis
3) Monitons
4) Occaneechis
B) Mississippi Siouan
1) Biloxis
2) Ofos
Siouans are most closest related to the Catawbans and together their most closest relatives are the Caddoans and Iroquians, which includes to an extremely slight degree, the Cherokee, which is the Native American group I am a part of.
