Back in April of 2007 I was working in my yard and across the alley there was this big commotion going on with one Felix the cat the terror of Michigan Ave..
I would watch Felix and wonder what she had caught (yes Felix is a girl, but that's another story) anyway I went over to see what the hell was going on and there huddled in a fetal position was this baby squirrel. Now this little guy would fit in the palm of your hand, seems no mama squirrel was around so I picked him up and took him home.
I bottled feed this little guy for two weeks and finally he was able to start eating food. Little here and a little there.
I was going to keep him and release him in the wild, but this guy had a mind of his own.
So now he lives with me in one giant cage, but if I am home he gets free run of the house.
He rides on my shoulder, cleans my cuticles, plays with my cat Monkey, when he is not terrorizing him and is the best little pet I have ever had.So that is the short story of Chewy Hood, his antics I could right a book on. N.W.A.A.

`Baby Squirrels are so cute! I bet chewy is a cool pet to have. I had a ferret once..loved the little guy. He liked to take my empty milk jugs and run down the hall banging them into the walls..cute guy and fun too.

When was a young teenager my brother came back to our appartment (in a Paris suburb) and showed me a cut baby hedgehod he found on the park cars place of our building.
Of course my mother and father told me he will die soonly but he was so cut that I couldn't believe them.
This little guy was well decided to make its life no matter either thought about its chance to survive and then we became "very closes".
I couldn't imagine how he was able to make its prickly so sweet when I gave him a bath. Its bellly was like a fluff and when I puted him on the talble he said hello to everybody but still kept some reserve on the action of stranger.
I put him on the table and people around considering he was nice wished to give him caress but each time these caresses comed from a stranger person he opened his mouth to bit them.
When my parents and I get to Country we let him go back to natural life but few months after he came back to show us his babies. His wife was not very comfortable to be so near of humans but she came for the happiness of her husband and it's well what often happens inside our human's lifes. A story to love the nature but also a story to reflect about our state of "human".
ALL MY WISHES FOR THOSE WHO DISERVED IT FOR THE FUTUR YEAR !

I loved this story about the hedgehog, animals seem so much smarter then human and they show unconditional love, .. (as long as you feed them)
I would love to have a hedgehog, but I am sure Chewy would develop an attitude..
