THIS IS TO MY FELLOW NATIVE PEOPLE...MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS...AND GUARDIANS OF THE MOTHER EARTH...THE NEW GENERATION...OF NATIVE AMERICANS,,
THROUGH THE YEARS OF GROWING UP I HAVE HEARD MANY STORIES OF HOW WE HAVE BEEN TREATED.. WE ALL SHARE A COMMON THREAD IN HISTORY... WE ALL HAVE HAD OUR SHRARE OF THE "TRIAL OF TEARS"
OUR ANCESTORS SUFFERD FOR OUR WELL BEING IN THIS MEAN CRUEL WORLD, THE WORLD IS UNFORGIVING. IT DOES NOT WAIT OR HELP ANYONE. IN THE PAST. OUR TRIBES AND NATION WERE FORCED TO SEEK SOMEWHERE ELSE TO LIVE. THEY MADE TREATIES,,,,THEY MADE PROMISES, AND THEY BROKE THEM.SUCH AS GREAT BATTLES IN THE PAST"BATTLE OF LITTLE BIGHORN, THE LONG WALK, FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR OF 1812, TRAIL OF TEARS"ECT ECT.. THEY TOOK OUR RIGHTFUL RIGHT TO THIS LAND. IF OUR ANCESTORS DIDNT COMPLY WITH THE MILITARYS RIGHT OF RULE...WE CONSIDERED...SAVAGES,OUTLAWS,,, ECT ECT ALOT OF GREAT NATIONS AND CHEIFS,,,SUFFERD TO THE WHITE MANS GREED. AND ITS HAPPPENING ON A GLOBAL SCALE NOW. THEY TAKE WHAT THEY WANT,AND WHAT THEY WANT. TO BE FORCED OFF YOUR OWN LAND AND PUT ON TO RESERVATIONS AND MADE PROMISES THAT WERE NOT KEPT...IS SAYING SOMTHING....DONT EVER FORGET, WHERE YOU CAME FROM. OR DENY YOUR GREAT HERITIGE, BE PROUD AND WALK ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE WITH YOUR HEAD UP HIGH AND NEVER BOW TO NO ONE! WE ARE ALL FAMILY..IN THIS MEAN CRUEL WORLD. AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS...

`bear, I have to agree, whatever is happening..it´s a global problem.. I do not believe in turkey days but I believe in people gathering together love and respect each other and try to do the best to this messed up world. Enjoy this day for staying together in love and respect..not for turkey with cranberries.

`I agree as well. The good news is, and believe it or not there is good news, is that as this and many other problems spread accross the globe there are those out there more and more that are standing up and saying no to all of it. There is and has been an awakening that is happening to all people accross the globe. Truth be told it is going rather fast too. I know it doesn't seem like it because we live such relatively short lives, but when you think about the drastic changes in the spirituality of many in less than 100 years it is phenominal.
What has been set wrong will be put right. I have faith in that. I also have faith in the fact I can be a part of the solution or part of the probelm. I too believe it is up to e3very single person to decide to make changes, however small, in their own corner of the world or where ever they feel draw.
Things are changing..please believe that..it is not a silent thing anymore.

`It is a difficult thing to not be seen as a human being and be stereotyped according to race, color of skin, gender, religious views, or social position. I apologize for the suffering. Maybe someday people can stop hurting one another and see the value in life, in one another. Happy thanksgiving and have a lovely day with love.

`This is a day to be Thankful for what you have of course it should be everyday, it has nothing to do with what happened in the past.
All races have suffered at one time or other, I chose to not be angry over things that I had no control over.Genocide happened to many other people, they too were driven from the homes many have to live so far from their homeland and can never go back and it is still going on. Changes I do not see any changes hatred stays in your mind you teach your children to hate for the atrocity that happened hundreds of years ago and what did that get anyone? I refuse to blame anyone living now for what has happened in the past. Guess that makes me not a good native, oh well I am just a human being.
Every single one of us on this planet suffers in some way. Doesnt matter if youre rich or poor, male or female, white, black or purple. Its part of our contract in being born. We have to suffer. Some people seem to experience much greater personal tragedies than others but we all have painful issues we have to live through. It is part of life on this planet.
( AN AFTER THOUGHT)
would everyone be happy if we took all the whites and just exterminate them ? Or would we just find someone else to blame??

`Again..from the most beautiful of words of a beloved Chief:
"...a few more moons, a few more winters, and not one of the mightly hosts that once moved over this broad land or lived in happy homes, protected by the Great Spirit, will remain to mourn over the graves of a people once more powerful and hopeful than yours. But why should I mourn at the untimely fate of my people? Tribe follows tribe, and nation follows nation, like waves of the sea. It is the order of nature, and regret is useless. Your time of decay may be distant, but it will surely come, for even the white man whose God walked and talked with him as friend to friend, cannot be exempt from the common destiny. We May Be Brothers after all. We will see...."

`suffer....a big word. Guess everybody knows it, the red ones, the white ones, the black ones, the striped and the sprankled. Every nation has it own dark fights, some still going on often because of economical interests. Suffer is a self destroying pattern, a pattern you have to leave. And there is only one way out... to give what you need for your own, that´s the basic of healing....
that´s the way of a native warrior...don´t bow to no one is just a rebelll.....

`observation.....
some who appear to bow down in front of others from a distance ..may just be the ones reaching down to give a hand up to those that have fallen

`sweetest1, to bow down means to build a bridge. It takes great respect for all humen beings to do it, but crossing that bridge means that you are able to walk on both banks, which is always a gift... people who bow to nothing or nobody are people who abuse the most.

`have to say i both agree and disagree.........
no one can see things from all points of view because we all have opinions forged from life experiences, and each one of us have different lives. I wouldnt say i bow to no one ..as i have met friends on here that have lifted me back on to my feet when i have fallen.
building bridges if often seen as a good thing but life has taught me that it isnt always so. id have to say i can admire the beauty of another bank without wanting to run over and stomp all over it ....lol ..........
i dont wish to offend any one and that is part of why i dont say much on the forums.......it fills me with dread that some will take me out of context and not appreciate me for who i am

`Whenever one expresses themselves, it seems being taken out of context and judged, to a point, is just part of it. In my own life I have learned that where ever I go, by the time I leave (I have moved a lot) the people who have spent time around me will have not remained neutral. They either really like me--or really dislike me. It dosen't really matter..the ones who bend toward the dislike I had no use for anyway-they weren't nice..But I have friends I have had for decades no matter where I have gone from the Midwest to the Pacific Northwest, and am always welcome amongst them so I cant complain. As one gets older you wish more to be known by those in your "circle", and it matters less if you are liked. If that makes any sense.
