In the last week on my job a department fight between a handful of my co-workers,that had been brewing for months, finally broke out into a small war (thankfully I was not involved in this one). My boss, who was just sick of the whole thing now, called an emergency department meeting. All showed up, thanks to an ultimatum issued by him. During this meeting where blame and accusations were being thrown around my boss raised and YELLED (something I had never seen him do), "NOW WE ARE LIKE FAMILY HERE...WE MAY NOT LIKE EACHOTHER BUT G-DDA-N IT WE ARE GOING TO GET ALONG!!"

I tried my best not to laugh. And everyone was silent (and it has stayed so for the most part since.)..today has reminded me of that. Now I wouldnt go saying most are like "family"..but I have seen most as pretty nice, good people on the forum(strange cyber-family?I dont know). I know I can at the very LEAST practice tolerance for 99%! (I am only human though..and can only do that which common sense would allow.)I had previously posted a November Beginning on the Brighter Side..so far not so good I guess. Maybe if I had posted November is just Sh*t we would all be singing 'Kumbaya' now?..seems to be the way things go.

`I have read through some of the older forums and was amazed at some of the "tension" that was in the posts. That made me wonder if this was a good place to be or not. There were some posts that I read that seemed to be a bit disrespectful and that also made me wonder about my decision to come to this site. But, upon reading the newer posts, it seems to have changed. There is not as much tension and the posts seem more enjoyable.
I do enjoy reading these forum posts. Many of them are so fun and informative. Am I a forum post junkie now?
Also, I believe that if you have a difference with someone, still be respectful of their feelings and/or beliefs.
By the way, I like what your boss had to say. It rings very true!!!

`well if a few would just watch what they say then maybe it would a nicer forum but what can i say, to each his/her own. that's one of the reason why i don't post as much or answer emails. i would rather make my own opinions of who i would like to respond to or not because of what they represent. i know some on this site say i'm a player but know one really knows me that well & they develop an opinion by what others tell them. i thought i had good thing going but that went down the toilet. probably what this person heard & believed from someone else. i do read the fourm & i must say it does get a little deep when it comes to showing respect to each other. negativity breeds negativity. taaaanii atehigii shi ajei altso (the truth of it is my heart it is complete).

Though you do not like the forums so much, everyone does love your poetry. Keep on honoring us with some of it every once in a blue moon. Also, I do not really contact people on this site, I kind of let it just happen as well. I guess I am also kind of the opposite, for I let people make of me who they are and hopefully they do not judge me profusely, for I do not do that to them. I like people's personalities, not necessarily their photos.
I tried not to be a forum-personality, but I cannot help myself for I am such a writer at heart and enjoy a good philosophical debate like anyone else. I am passionate, but I do not like to take people's realities away from them. If it gets too heated, I tell them that neither of us will budge, so let's agree to disagree and not start a war over some spilled liquid.
I get very passionate, too, when it comes to friends--even if I do not know them in real life only online--their spirit is much stronger to me than their physical body and so I feel the need to lash at at whomever is trying to hurt them and I went there for a second on the forum and lost myself so I backed away from that whole ordeal and let it work itself out.
All things do work themselves out, but sometimes fighting fire with fire is a VERY BAD THING. I felt as if we were getting there during this conflict and we said our peace mostly, but it was laid to rest. Now we can move on to more important things, yes?

More philosophical discussions, poetry, prose, life experiences, love, sharing ideas, networking, etc. That is why I came here in the first place :)

human nature if one feels wronged they usually react. unless one's a doormat, I suppose.

we all have our take on it, based on experience or not. Life does encompass more than whatever goes on here...or it should anyway.

my focus the last few days has been mainly on grappling with those things in my life I did take for granted...this is the here and now. and some I never invited into my life anyway, so they have no more space in the memories of those i loved. or wish i had better anyway.

Drama can be interesting and make a place lively. Those involved in it choose to be there anyways, and those affected by it find out just how people are.

`I would agree that people have the right to speak their mind. But, when it is intentionally hurtful, then it should be censored somewhat. In my opinion, to intentionally berate someone or cause someone an overt amount of grief shows what kind of person you are.
Also, we all have different levels of tolerance which should be respected. If one can take more flak than another, that doesn't necessarily make them a doormat. Maybe it makes them more tolerant or patient.
Cyberspace and the real world.....I feel both of these have an impact on one another. You are definitely right, rebelyell08.
Huggeroftrees, those are the cutest dang pics!!!! Are they really that domesticated? Do they really get along that well together? I am impressed if they do!!
