The Dance

Silently and slowly we begin
testing, daring,challenging.

One biding-one abiding
in unison we glide
and I fell her muscles contract and soften.

A breath away
yet our eyes never meet
though her eyes coyly caress my face.

My eyes set the path while hers
fathom our wake.

Intoxicating wafts of perfume fire my feavor
fuels my motions
and gives rise to perfection of motion.

One last note and she melts in my arms
and with a last backward glance
she vanishes into the night
leaving only the lingering scent of her perfume.

Breath betrays her far away glance
speeding up without permission.
Heart pumps erratic
face burns, blood surged.

Calm surface, her secret armour.

Look away quick
Don't let him catch your eyes caressing his face.
Desires inside her
pressing hard into his invisible space.

Take in breath
breathe deep
breathe deeper . . .

Time has come
to meet with potent gaze.
Silent surrender
to the dance of hearts.
