why is it that, when you find someone you think is interesting, they happen to be on the other side of the US. There are so many interesting gentlemen, that i would love to get to know and sound like dreams. Any advice would be appreciated.

`hiya hannah, mmm i agree on that it does take time to get to know one another and build up that rapport and trust but having said that how will that happen unless u speak to them hahaha i say emails are fine and telephone numbers are too the question is really how long do you leave it to meet them face to face? love and blessings sweet gemmax

`being careful is the name of the game... but, remember, they may sound heavenly but beware. this is a dating site, so you may not be the only person they "charm". Be wary a broken heart!!! Listen with your heart and your head, they do work well together.

`I think we know in our heart usually when someone is right. I think women really need to have more initiative and allow a potential mate to know their intentions. There are many profiles and lots of potential women on here, however, until I meet someone who allows me to know they are interested, that I am just not one of there many pen pals, then I personally have many pen pals. However, if I find someone who matches, I am a one woman man.......

`I agree with metisarch to a certain degree. We women do need to let our intentions be known and clear; but, the same goes for the opposite gender. Some people on this site are open about what they want...and when one makes it clear that they want only to be a "penpal"...it could be that they find their potential mate through their communications. One has to give it a chance.
I do agree that "we know in our heart when someone is right". But, a person sometimes becomes so guarded with their heart that they miss the cue. Then the right person comes along...and a connection is made. So beautiful, so wonderful. A connection so deep that it takes your breath away; makes your heart beat faster; makes you 'blush' when you think of them. A complex set of emotions arise and you realize..this is the one. How lucky to be in this category of people.
But, I am rambling....any takes on this subject? Umm, not the rambling, but what I typed previously.
