What I know about Native American culture is that I am not looked down on because of my gender, cultural, or even spiritual identity because I know the great creator of all things created me in His image, and no matter what I call myself I am still a human being. :roll:

`Well I dont think this is a stupid question. All questions are good. I grew up on the rez, and I have seen where rez girls only go out with black dudes because of their black whatever. And I have seen rez guys who enjoy showing around their white girlfriends to their rez friends, as if their girlfriends were trophies, which most times they really weren't. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder or something. So this means they were with those people mainly because of their skin color.

But I also know people who, like myself, enjoy taking the time in getting to know someone. As a result, my former partners from the outside were all kinds of skin colors, even black. But inside, they were similar, in that they were nice people who I took the time to get to know. And the more I explored that and the more we experienced and learned together, the stronger our bond developed, and those relationships lasted long. And I learned many wonderful things from them, which helped me to become a better and emotionally healthier person. If I only went out with women of a certain skin color, I would have missed many wonderful experiences, which have given me much enjoyment and knowledge.

There are good and bad and smart and dumb people in every skin color. Being native doesn't make us any more special than anyone else. The way I try to see it is like how our Grandmother Earth sees us. We all need her to live, she does not give more air or gravity to natives just because she favors us over all others.

The word "Rez" is short for reservation or reserve. From my knowledge that the Americans call it a reservation. The Canadians call it a reserve. Their are a few places that even call it a Rez but it's actually a settlement. Some are a settlement cause it's bought land. Paid for by the people.

I just read everyone's posts and everyone seems to have a good head on their shoulders with exception of one. In my life I've always picked a boyfriend on how I felt around them and if I liked their personality and how they treated me. I consider myself a fair, courteous and kind person and I look for those traits in a future relationship. People don't have to perfect and they can live their lives as they wish. Some people are friend material and some people are more. You just have to take each person in your path and see if they're a fit to be in your life for either a friend or more.
