One Of the most amazing moments in my life, was when I met my biological father for the first time. If you have never tried it, you will...

I grew up having three distinct, relative and reoccurring dreams, starting about 15 years of age to 24 years, that i remember.

One was about being chased by warriors way up a rockface and way below was a river. I could not let them get me yet I knew to keep climbing meant to carefully watch each finger find it found it's place, I could not rush, but how I fear'd falling or being caught...

The second occurence was about me approaching a fire pit in the night with five individuals who were always solemen and wise to me, physically appearing "indian"; five, with me always approaching from from the south, below. I see the rocks around the fire as well as I see their shadow'd bodies.

The third dream that happen'd in my most emissive time, was about an elder who always approach me in the night in a canoe, so happily drunken offering me to get in and cross the river with him.
|Obscuring from the details of my dreams, the most awesome step in my Life was when I met my bio logical father, a man I had never met after two and a half decades|( my entire life).

After some soft catching up, i mention'd the elder in the canoe dream, and my world, he dreamd'd the same dream. We never physically met, but you know, the Soul is Relation. Amazingly and with the most respect, in my Fathers almost similiar dreams, it was his ,Father, approaching him in a canoe.

I just think these occurences are amazing. With all forgiveness, my Grandfather, so I heard fought with the crazywater and lost. He also fought in the second world war, he also fought the GREAT OPPRESSION of a Strong Nation. Yet, he came to me in my dreams..
After 27 years. Never knowing my Fathers family. My Grandfather approach'd me in this way.

Sometimes I can't tell which is more real, living life or living dreams!

`I believe in it. Ever read "Clan of the Cave Bear"? A fictitious novel, but it is where I was first introduced 2 the concept of "ancestral memory", which is an idea that really lit some light bulbs in my head! Tho some family members u really r better off 2 forget! Id have 2 go back a few generations, at least, 2 find any worth knowing! Sad, but true.

`I have strong feeling of my ancstor s roots in me. I have always been different and my mother never told me anything of my great grandmother, who was Cherokee from the Carolinas. I have always felt her in me and that she walks with me. I read a book one day out of bordom, called the Red Road, by Ed Mcgaa. In that book I felt the strong feeling of one finding themselves. From this I continued to read more and I come to understand who I was. I had always believed in the creator and I loved animals and had a strong conneciton with the wind and trees.
It is hard to find anyting about my native family because of the census. My mother was a healer and a woman of the earth. this she did teach me. I know my ancestors walk with me, and I will find them one day.
The stories I am reading here are heart warming and give me hope that I will find my way home.

`Hello to Native American from Native Serbian!
My dreams brought me here Smile
I strongly believe in inheritance of memory. Of course as many of you, I had similar dreams. Furthermore, there is something we call the Soul of universe. Every human being and live organism is part of it. As stronger ties exist between, harder attraction occurs.
This is why our ancestors potentiated understanding and respect of nature and spirituality. Simply, when connection with your roots occur, you start to see. The old Slavs called it Vidja (the sight - it's not eye-sight). What you gonna see: depends on what are your thoughts. If your thoughts reach your yard, then you'll see in that range. If your thoughts reach the heaven, then you'll see beyond the stars.
