I'm part Native American. When men realize that , they tend to chase me down and can't get enough of me in the bedroom. Is it a stereo-type that I don't know about for Native women ? If so What makes Native American women hot?

Non-native -- I think for many non-natives who are attracted to Native women are so because of their rarity, the mystery around Native women, the fact that they've met so few Native women. Some men might get it into their heads "A native girl, haven't been with one". Since Natives make up such a small percentage of the population some men mat love to tell their buddies they were with a Native girl before.

Lets not get too sexist here though. Many non-native women are attracted to native men also. Statistically speaking I'm pretty sure the difference isn't all that great.

Native people tend to be poor. Men usually don't care how poor a women is but women tend to care more about what a man does for a living so he can accomidate her needs. So yea, I'd agree that men more then women are attracted to Natives.

Natives -- It's easy to understand why Native men or women would be attracted to to other Natives. Many families raise their kids to take a Native person as a partner. Being raised in a certain way is apart of culture. People want their grandchildren to be enrolled in their Tribe. There aren't many Natives and they want their children to be Native, we as Native people had tactics used against us to take away our culture. A child who is more light skinned might suffer with identity problems trying to live in this world, they might be more prone to reject their identity given certain circumstances whereas a person who is obviously Native has lived with a greater feeling of being different. Don't get me wrong, I've cousins who don't appear Native at all and are Native. Parents want their children and grandchildren to embrace their identity and preserve their culture.

Native genes are thinning and we know it, thats the biggest reason of all.

`i definatly can relate to the light skinned native issue. I still today have identity problems, whites think Im spanish... puerto rican they say, natives think Im white.. I cant win. I know what I am but that doesn't make it feel any better. We do need to stick together and stop sepatating ourselves.
More Natives in CT please come out of hiding!!!!! its crazy I feel like Im the only one!

.I'm not a male so I really can't say why they think Native females are hot in bed. Growing up I heard the opposite from Native American guys around the rez, saying that the women weren't open minded enough. That's such a lie, well for me it is

`JOHNMARLON and LADYFLY...I read your comments late last night and was troubled by them. Why am I on this site? Yes, there is the allure on one hand of Native Women. On the other, a Native Woman who's connected to her tribe, as far as a relationship beyond friendship, is going to understand where I'm coming from. I'm becoming more connected to my Highland clan identity, some would call it ancestral memory, over time. Some people I've met don't take to well to that. It's not normal or it's weird. Then there's the fact that I've got Native heritage that I am overdue in taking hold of.

My feeling is, that she and I would mutually honor each other's ways and should we have children, teach them to do the same. I'm very interested in seeing cultures preserved and seeing people taking pride in what they are.

`Even though I am female & never been with female Native...lol
Some men want to go to places they have never been before, yet some might have had an experience with it and think they have bragging rights.
It's like a diner, you go to one chain of them and you had a wonderful experience, so you try again. Rumors, accusations & well truth be told, sometimes just said to "hit" on ya or challenge ya.
Few years back it was said of Asian women, then few years back it was said of African-Americans, then red-heads an so forth. Just a cliche and was our turn I suppose.
Maybe you should laugh at it and move on with grace, do not feed the stereo-type and just live as you see fit. Cycles come and go.
But do not let it anger you or disgrace you, I have heard the same and I just smile and say "too bad you will never know me in that way with that attitude" and slowly walk away with your pride....lol...
Peace

`I think that non-native men are attracted because it is exciting. Perhaps also they are governed by movies. Aren't all the indian women HOT! They think that are forbidden fruit. I must confess that I also have been tempted by a diferent race. The older you get the physical qualities pale and enter into the sublime. Perhaps there is NO answer to your question. Just do you best. That is all one can ask. I have spoken!

`Oookay I have to put my 2 cents in. I totally am in agreement with Johnmarlon on most of his views.

I am a lighter skinned Navajo but it is just because I stay in doors. *laughs* When I go outside, I look like I burned marshmallow. My child is blond haired and blue eyed. I guess her father who claimed to be full Cherokee was not being very honest. That is a big reason why I stick to my own roots now. So many liars out there it makes me want to say "license and registration please!" Hahaha. I agree, she is going to have a total identity melt down when she is the only light skinned/blond hair/blue eyed person on the block and that sucks for her.

I have never been attracted to white men. I have no idea why. I just ... am not. *laughs* I have been raised, stick with your own kind and the last time I rebelled against that... it was no good. As for white men chasing me. Oh my do they chase me, LITERALLY! I moved to Texas a few years back to get a taste of the white culture and I had a man stalk me. STALK ME!

I think men in general need to cool it because native men also do the same.

I have never seen a woman try and pick up a man so I can't say anything about that.

I think that when it comes down to it, people like others who are different. It is intriguing but I wont lose my sense of culture over a man. Sorry.. not doing it.

Great... I am rambling. Wow.. it must be getting late.

Listen, first off, I don't think you are rambling lol, you are making lots of sense, and second I completely agree with you......Men DO need to cool it......... And although I cant and WILL NOT say native men are just like white men because I haven't ever had a bad experience from any native man, I have had the same issue with the stalking, only from white men, infact, I still wonder and feel sometimes someones hiding in the bushes lol (literally) but back to the point their, lets call it enthusiasm, started only after they found out my heritage, I was exciting and new and very different to them from other girls, so there is definitely something to this for sure, and maybe everyone is right about the forbidden fruit thing, I don't know, but alot of guys really do love native women and automatically assume we are animals in the sack because thats what their hoping for lol, we are all beautiful women in our own ways and different from others even though it seems there are so few left, so I think we should just take it as that and stay with our own kind, for our own good, and our history, but again, this is just my opinion, everybody likes their own thing and Im not trying to disrespect anyone so don't take it that way, just like 'humored0ne' just putting my peace in!!

`Being from a large city at this time, I think white men are more curious about us. I don't like what I've heard at times. I don't think the wild book covers at the local discount help us Native ladies at all. lol

``I am a mixed blood. My father is white (German with a mixed Indian ancestry) and he was a very good looking man with no bad temper. He was quiet and always soft spoken with a southern dawl. His mother had coal black hair who was part Indian who was fond of sunbathing.
My mother is Spanish. She said my father was a good catch. She never knew that he had Indian blood until his mother sat me down when I was a child and told me about our Indian ancestor when I complained to her about how white people openly discriminated my Spanish mother. It really bothered me so much that I became very self concsious when I was around whites.

My father divorced her because he can't stand her short fused temper. I don't take very well to other people's hot tempers because of my bad experience with my mother's rages. I have no tolerance for it. I am sorry to say this. I left my boyfriend because of his violent temper that I just can't take.
My father married another Spanish woman named Stella from La Paz, South America. She is darker than my mother. Stella does look Indian but she always denied her Indian blood that is always obvious to other people.
Stella always loves my father and always tell me that I remind her of my father's handsome looks. She knows I was very supportive of my father's decision when he married her.

My Bolivian male friend saw my picture of my Dad and Stella with Bolivian Indian rug in the background and confirmed that Stella did look Indian.
It's too bad that she never embraced her Indian blood. She taught English to immigrants both in California and Florida.
I saw a picture of Stella's son (my half brother)'s cousin living in Bolivia who looked exactly like a Navajo.
Back to my mother's side of the family,
her older brother married an Oglala Sioux woman and has a son who is a year oder than me. He is tribally enrolled and descendant of Sitting bull. Many of his cousins are AIM members. Like his ancestor Sitting Bull, my Indian ancestor was also a chief and he is famous, too. I don't speak his name out of respect. I can only say that, yes, he was a chief. It was said he was ped from the east coast and taken to Mexico City. Fortunately, he went back home which was a miracle. Too many native captives never made it back home which was a tragedy. Excuse me for wondering off the subject. That's all I have to stay on this.
