Be careful in your day to day life because there are some twisted people out there...you can be around someone for awhile and they can imagine one day that you glanced at them a certain way, or your "hi" one day included some secret communication that you are entirely unaware of, telling them that your are "interested". It is nothing you did..just in the wrong place at the wrong time in thier troubled life. The first time this happened to me I was 21 and bought a car out of the classifieds in Auburn, Washington and the end result was a problem big enough that my step-dad and aunt bought me a ticket out of the state--this was before stalking laws. Later on was a neighbor..my big mistake to bring that on???...I waved back at him from across the fence one afternoon..his interpretation?...said he knew then that I really "wanted" him. whatever But the end result, again, was to move and have a trail that disappeared for awhile..I remember when I used to think 'god I cant wait til I am 35 and all this will be over. Well, I am 41 and it makes NO difference. I said "hi" to someone I had been around in a work situation for a year and a half and he said that the "tone" of my "hi" was somehow 'different'. My mistake is that instead of owning my disinterest (I was trying to be "nice"), I said instead that my boss discouraged dating those in the P.D....Big mistake. So just watch...I dont know if it really makes a difference if anything initially can be helped as it starts in thier misinterpretation of the otherwise ordinary...BUT what I could have done differently in every situation is to be very very clear from the moment there was something said instead on where I stand of trying to be "nice" and not wanting to hurt feelings.

`You know you can not go through life worrying about hurting some ones feelings!! Trying to be please everyone only makes things hard on you. If you had been straight forward with this latest guy and say you are not interested instead of putting it on your boss he might have got the message and if he got his feelings hurt oh well!! Now you've got this whacked out nut case chasing you around.. Everyone gets rejected, that's just life!!
I got to go Chewy is B----ing at me, I guess the keyboard makes too much noise for him.. Dam he rules this house..

`That is true...but you know if the shoe was on the other foot (not that I ask people out..but if I did) and someone said that they couldn't see me cause of the bosses rules I would assume that they just weren't interested in me and move on..I certainly wouldn't threaten their boss. Thats just nuts. I see that a lot of people don't talk polite "code"...

Sure ! It's always better to simply tell the truth. It's possible to do it "nicely"
It's not hurt peoples to let them agree we can't be interested all the time by everybody That's well worse to use of false arguments.
All the time you don't put any judgment in your reaction, I don't see any reason for you to search a justification for your choices ?
If men or women had to satisfy the wishes of all the peoples possibly interested by them, they would have to pass their entire life layed down !!
We are all well too busy and it's good to take some air from time to time 8)

`thankfully a 'note'..good-bye-sad note, which is ridiculous coming from someone I said I wouldn't go out with in the first place! and barely even knew!..BUT I can only hope that is IT..and not some form of attempted sympathy induced manipulation, which all looks alike to me. People have too much time on thier hands.. and all I can say now about all of this is:

`Hopefully he got the message,that's really bad that this nut case thought he had a relationship going, (was all in his head) and if he is looking for sympathy he'll find it in the dictionary..
