I don't understand..enlighten me PLEASE someone! Last I read over 1,440 NEW members here since 9-1-08 and nobody can find anyone to connect with in any other way than superficially?? Whats the deal..perfection? Fear?...This shouldn't be that hard! Really!...Maybe there's something to be said for arranged marriages at 15. (i don't mean that...i just don't "get it" i guess).

All you see is a picture and what they want to say about themselves, but I wonder why people can't find someone in their area(unless they live on a deserted island alone) I have had my own horror story from the internet (never again) and I don't know anyone that has found a lasting relationship on internet..
Cami I believe the man you want and are looking for just has not cross your path, but if it is meant to be it will happen. You are young and very pretty with a wonderful soul, so hang in there everything will work out!!!

Hey you.. cynical Hug, firstly I'm here to meet people I resonate with, of like mind. Whatever form the relationship takes on is irrelevant to me, if a friendship developed into a romantic relationship, the male involved is still a person and should have the same rights as a potential friend.
There are people here for all types of reasons, some just don't care how genuine the other person is because it's more of a quick fix they're after, and they would have a different view and opinion to mine.
Generally I would agree with you, except for the fact that at my work I actually know of three people that did get married through being intruduced through the internet. Two couples have had kids together and are very happy and well matched. Sure anyone can come on here and try to be someone they're not, but thats where intuition and conversations will quickly show the most part of what is real and what is not. No different really from how friends (like us) find out about each other, there's always an element of blind trust involved. For all I know you could be the leader of some crazy cult escaped from a loony bin, and I could be a ninety-nine year old flasher posting a fake photo, trying to trick you into telling me all your female sectets. (geez...you got me worried now!!!) So I don't see how it is any different really. If you meet someone in a nightclub or even at a church function, there's no more guarantee that everything they let you know about themselves is true. I actually knew of a guy who was a model devout church goer who had a 'church' girlfriend (met through church), and then all the other secret ones on the side (she never knew). So it helps if you have a good inner radar and trust your intuition. If you're someone who falls for every dodgy sales pitch, and finds it hard to say no to vacume cleaner sales people when you don't need a new vacume then NO... I don't think meeting people on line is a good idea. Besides it's only an introduction and then the playing field is as equal as if you had met someone in some respectable establishment in your own home town. Now just because someone had a dodgy experience in the past on line............ last time I heard there were some dodgy relationships to be had off line too ... about 99.9% in fact. ....... Just some thoughts for all the cynics out there!.. HAHA .... I'll get you matched up yet Ms Huggeroftrees!!!

And Hugger, don't get too frustrated with me..I am a big girl, and I have to live from my heart to an extent, and that has been a fairly recent thing so I AM new at it! But when I didn't I was truly the walking dead..never cried (even on most Sept. 17ths), BUT I never laughed either...can you imagine that??????

Now I have to go back to my Planet Pluto and be whipped because my mission failed.. We were going to leave on the second Tuesday of next week. I tried to act like I was human even went to a family reunion this weekend to fit in and learn some more human traits, like greed, back stabbing, lying and on and on.... Oh well must leave and try to hook you two another way..
