To any one reading this letter I will assume you broke into one of the auxiliary bunkers at Fort Chompers in what's left in St. Louis...
So what do I need to tell you? You must have already gotten the gist of what's happening? If not YES THEY ARE UNDEAD!!! No thy are not your friends or loved ones anymore...The soul has left the building and been replaced...with something.

The outbreak-like I said the contagion was accidental. Don't know much about it myself, but I'll tell you what I do know.

It started with a riot in a lab at Fort Chompers.It spread above ground, by this time we knew people were being infected with something, the fences had been knocked down and the old dead spilled out of the housing area and joined the new dead..people began to flee, people with bites on their arms, necks, and faces. They were the carriers who brought the plague out of Fort Chompers to the rest of the country..

So here we are. The infection is spreading at a maddening rate. We are well into "martial law and religious panic".phase of the apocalypse.. The public is learning about the after-dead abilities..They regenerate muscle and flesh, to run and jump if they are healthy enough. and remember, the healthiest ones are always at the head of the pack..

If you don't know by now, here is the cardinal rule. HEAD SHOTS DON'T KILL THEM.

BURN THEM TO ASH...

Now you know where it came from. Understanding your end makes it easier to accept. I've accepted it. The bite does not even hurt anymore... admittedly, I'm a little curious about what happens next...

Surely if dead then they will be letting off gas due to all the dead gasses locked away...I know stick a knitting needle in them to relase the gas and light a lighter...we can have a good firework display and who knows we could roast marshmellows over them...

`Sounds like a good idea except they are dead so they stink!! We would be roasting stinky marsh mellows.. You know if you stick my zombies with a pin all the gasses and vile crap would come pouring out.. YUK!! No some believe you can kill a zombie by shooting them in the head, but I beg to differ, since they have no brain function and all they do is eat till they burst open that would be a waste of bullets, so we just have to fry them..You can't miss them as they walk real slow and are very clumsy but they know when a living person is around..

We could always do a nordic bural thing by sticking them all on a wooden ship and setting fire to it!! It would be like a zombie rave going down the river!!
